About the Challenge
As a way to celebrate the Lisk L2's entry into Ethereum and the OP Superchain, we're launching an epic hackathon and you're all invited to participate! The new Lisk L2 has an equivilant EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) and can handle any Solidity smart contacts you want to deploy.
To get things started, Lisk is offering $30000 in prizes for 10 winners across 4 distinct categories. This can also be the start of the journey to build your dreams as all winners will be considered for Lisk's upcoming grant program. That's not all though, our sponsors Optimism and Gelato are adding additional prizes to sweeten the deal even more.
To ensure participants have all the resources they need to succeed, we are also providing a wealth of Lisk related Resources and Docs. We can't wait to see what you build!
Requirements
What to Create
Build or significantly update a working software application that is developed with a Solidity smart contract for the Ethereum Virtual Machine and then deployed on the Lisk L2 Testnet. Each project must also fit into one of the following categories:
Real World Applications/Assets
- This category focuses on practical applications of blockchain technology in real-world scenarios. Projects could involve tokenization of real-world assets, supply chain solutions, identity management, climate etc.
Decentralized Physical Infrastructure
- Projects in this category could involve IoT integration with blockchain, smart cities solutions, energy trading platforms, compute sharing, or any other applications that bridge physical infrastructure with blockchain technology.
Decentralized Finance
- Projects in this category could include decentralized exchanges (DEX), lending protocols, yield farming strategies, or innovative financial instruments.
Gaming
- Potential applications include metaverse, decentralized gaming marketplaces, ownership of in-game assets, and provably fair gaming mechanisms etc.
What to Submit
-
Include a text description that should explain the features and functionality of your Project.
- Link to your contract deployment on the Lisk L2 Testnet
-
Include a URL to a functional demo app OR URL to code repository (public or private)
-
If private, please share it with hackathon@lisk.com for access.
-
-
Include a demonstration video of your Project. The video portion of the Submission:
-
should be around three (3) minutes. Judges are not required to watch beyond three minutes
-
must be uploaded to and made publicly visible on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook Video, or Youku, and a link to the video must be provided on the Submission form on the Hackathon Website.
-
- Optional: to be eligible for the Gelato Sponsor Prizes, a project must successfully integrate one or more Gelato Web3 Service. (Read below)
- Please read through the Official Rules.
About Optimism
The Optimism Collective is redefining power to elevate humanity by building a more equitable internet. Their vision for this citizen-governed network: a composable, unified constellation of blockchains that can support internet-level activity; powered by the MIT-licensed open source OP Stack.
To date, the Optimism Collective is defined by its focus on scaling Ethereum and funding public goods. We’ve processed hundreds of millions of transactions and are responsible for the largest ongoing public goods funding program in existence.
Additional Bounties by Gelato:
Gelato Network is an all-in-one Ethereum Rollup as a Service Platform built without limits. Designed to be super-fast, incredibly secure, & infinitely scalable, Lisk Layer-2 is a Gelato rollup built on Op Stack natively integrated with all infra from the Genesis block. Join 500+ Apps like MakerDAO, Pancake Swap, and Aavee that leverage Gelato's suite of Web3 Services like Account Abstraction, smart contract automation, and on-chain randomness and build unstoppable, feature-rich dApps on top of Lisk!
Gelato will choose five Projects to reward with an additional $250 in GEL tokens for each Gelato Web3 Service Integration, increasing the reward by up to $750 in GEL per submission.
-
- Enable gasless transactions with Gelato Relay
- Automate execution and bring off-chain data onchain with Gelato Functions
- Leverage fast, verifiable onchain randomness with Gelato VRF
